The IRH panel surface is heated by the resistance of electricity which generates invisible infrared energy (heat) that travels at the speed of light to the objects in the room including the floor, the furniture and most importantly, to you. This infrared energy warms the objects in the room the same way the sun's infrared energy warms the surface of the earth after passing through the cold atmosphere above the earth. The objects in the room then re-radiate the heat into the air creating the best sense of comfort possible. All this comfort and warmth is accomplished with the consumption of very little electricity compared to any other methods of heating.
